But now, since the ailments of weakness have grown stronger than nature, for that reason we are compelled to accept his urgent command, even though we feel no less weakness ourselves.

But I am struck with fear and I tremble, according to the great prophet referring to Moses. If he, being a mediator in the shadow between God and men, suffered and spoke such things, how much more fearful it is for one who is in the truth? And there was Moses and the table of God, and one worthy of conversation. And here, my own soul is far from the worthiness of his virtues.
