We shall begin the martyrdom of Saint Abdalmasih Servant of Christ, which translates to "Servant of Christ"; likewise, regarding the wonderful powers and healings that God performed in his name for all who took refuge in him. For truly, God is wonderful in his saints, and their death is glorious before him; and he always hears their prayers and saves his people through their intercession, and by their martyrdom he puts the hosts of demons to shame, and shatters and obstructs the cunning of the dragon that wars against his saints. They are the root of life and provide health to the sick, according to the truthful word of the Lord, "He who believes in me, the works that I do, he also will do." And now, their memory is throughout all the universe, and they are blessed in their lives, and in their death the name of the Lord is glorified, and the churches of the saints are brightened by them, and they adorn their children with the crown of Christ. They are precious, rational fountains, shining more than the luminaries, in the kingdom of the heavenly King, Christ, the immortal King. Whom we also entreat by their prayers to help us in all our tribulations and to save us from all temptation. Here we shall begin the history of Saint Abdalmasih Servant of Christ, which translates to "Servant of Christ."
