The Saint: I chose death for the sake of Christ rather than fleeting life.
And then the executioner told him to hold his neck, and lifting up the sword, he cut off his head. And he himself passed away at that very moment.
The holy martyr of Christ, the blessed and great Vahan, was perfected on the eighteenth original: "ութեւտասներորդ" day of the month of March, on the Saturday of the two weeks of the Lenten fast, at the ninth hour, and on the twenty-seventh day of the month of March original: "քսան եւթն մարերի ամսոյ".
It is more amazing to me, than the sound of musical instruments, are the echoes of your lamentations: O blessed lord Vahan, chosen by God.
This exhorts the parts original: "մասունս" of my soul more, to compose for you songs, not of repentance, but spiritual and joyful, exhortatory and panegyric: O blessed lord Vahan, servant of Christ.
Your struggle terrifies the nature of my body: but you found more, O blessed lord Vahan, lover of Christ.
The external composure original: "զգաստքն", the creative words of the vain—
1. The exemplar had "seventeenth" written.
2. It is worth following the beautiful martyrdom with a more beautiful Sharakan hymn in honor of the Saint, which tradition attributes to his sister, perhaps it is his wife. Whoever it may be, it is revealed that it was the Sirayin the lady/the lady of the house of Vahan.
3. The soul has no parts, but very delicate, beautiful, noble feelings. Where does it stand before you, compared to the famous Sappho of Lesbos, from old and new times?
4. The external composure refers to poets and narrators, and the words they create are lies; but the soul-saving and god-inspired words of the Lady seem not to have been these five stanzas alone, but long and desirable ones, silenced completely along with the lyres of Goghtn.
