...and He stood before them to eat. And when He spoke with them, He said to them, "Peace be with you; it is I, do not be afraid." And they were amazed and afraid, and they thought they were seeing a spirit. Jesus said to them, "Why are you afraid, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself, and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have." And when He said these things, He showed them His hands and His feet. And still they did not believe because of their joy, and they were amazed. He said to them, "Do you have here anything to eat?" And they gave Him a part of a broiled fish, and from a honeycomb. And He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke with you when I was with you, that it is necessary that everything which is written in the Law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms concerning me should be fulfilled." Then He opened their minds so that they might understand the scriptures, and said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name among all nations, and the beginning should be from Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things; and I will send the promise of my Father upon you. But you stay in the city of Jerusalem, until you are clothed with power from on high."
