For we know from this [fact] again
that they do not exist by nature,
but by the ṣebyānā will/choice
of freedom. And just as they are able to be
righteous, so they are able to be
wicked. And just as they are able to be
wicked, so they are able to be
righteous. And this confirms for us
that it is not by nature that one is
evil, nor is it by nature that one is
good. But it is the ṣebyānā will of freedom,
which is able to be good
and is able to be evil.
And if someone were to say, if this exists
by the ṣebyānā will,
how is it that we see people
who from their youth until their old age
persist in righteousness, and there are people
who from their youth until their old age
persist in wickedness? And how is it possible
that this happens by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that even this
is from the ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people who from their youth
their ṣebyānā will has desired good things,
and there are people
who from their youth their ṣebyānā will has desired
evil things. And this is not from nature,
but from ṣebyānā will.
Because if it were from nature,
it would not be possible for it to change. We see, however,
many who from their youth
persisted in righteousness,
and at their end were wicked.
And we see many who from their youth
persisted in wickedness,
and at their end were
righteous. And this confirms to us,
that it is the ṣebyānā will of freedom
that is able to change
from good things to evil things,
and from evil things to good things. And if someone were to say,
that if this exists by ṣebyānā will, how
do we see that there are people who by their nature
are calm and humble,
and there are people who by their nature
are harsh and wrathful? And how
is it possible for this to happen by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that even this
is from ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people
who from their youth their ṣebyānā will has desired
calmness,
and there are people who from their youth
their ṣebyānā will has desired wrathfulness.
And this is not from nature,
but from ṣebyānā will.
Because if it were from nature,
it would not be possible for it to change. We see
many who from their youth were calm,
and at their end were wrathful.
And we see many who from their youth
were wrathful, and at their end were
calm. And this confirms to us
that it is the ṣebyānā will of freedom
that is able to change
from calmness to wrathfulness,
and from
wrathfulness to calmness. And if someone were to say,
that if this exists by ṣebyānā will, how
do we see that there are people who by their nature
are wise and discerning,
and there are people
who by their nature are foolish and stupid?
And how is it possible for this to happen by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that
even this is from ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people
who from their youth
their ṣebyānā will has desired wisdom,
and there are people
who from their youth their ṣebyānā will has desired
folly. And this is not from
nature, but from ṣebyānā will.
Because if it were from nature, it would not be possible
for it to change. We see, however, many
who from their youth were wise,
and at their end were foolish. And we see
many who from their youth were foolish,
and at their end were wise.
And this confirms to us
that it is the ṣebyānā will
of freedom, that is able to change
from wisdom to folly,
and from
folly to wisdom. And if someone were to say,
that if this exists by ṣebyānā will, how
do we see that there are people who by their nature
are wealthy and renowned,
and there are people
who by their nature are poor and despised?
And how is it possible for this to happen by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that
even this is from ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people
who from their youth
their ṣebyānā will has desired wealth,
and there are
people who from their youth their ṣebyānā will has desired
poverty. And this is not from
nature, but from ṣebyānā will.
Because if it were from nature, it would not be possible
for it to change. We see, however, many
who from their youth were wealthy,
and at their end were poor. And we see
many who from their youth were poor,
and at their end were wealthy.
And this confirms to us
that it is the ṣebyānā will
of freedom, that is able to change
from wealth to poverty,
and from
poverty to wealth. And if someone were to say,
that if this exists by ṣebyānā will, how
do we see that there are people who by their nature
are healthy and strong,
and there are people
who by their nature are sick and weak?
And how is it possible for this to happen by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that
even this is from ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people
who from their youth
their ṣebyānā will has desired health,
and there are
people who from their youth their ṣebyānā will has desired
sickness.
And this is not from nature, but from
ṣebyānā will.
Because if it were from nature,
it would not be possible for it to change. We see
many who from their youth
were healthy, and at their end were
sick. And we see many who from
their youth were sick, and at their end
were healthy. And this confirms to us,
that it is the ṣebyānā will of freedom,
that is able to change
from health to sickness,
and from sickness to health. And if
someone were to say,
that if this exists by ṣebyānā will, how
do we see that there are people
who by their nature are beautiful and comely,
and there are people who by their nature are ugly
and repulsive? And how is it possible for this to happen by ṣebyānā will,
unless it is by nature?
Let us know, however, that
even this is from
ṣebyānā will.
Because there are people
who from their youth their ṣebyānā will
has desired
beauty, and there are people
who from their youth their ṣebyānā will
has desired
ugliness. And this is not from
nature, but from ṣebyānā will.
