For this reason, the Word of God
put on a body, and became a human,
that He might save us from death, and redeem us
from destruction. And that He might make us children
to the Son of God. And that we might share
in His kingdom. And that we might ascend to heaven.
And He became a mediator between God
and the children of men. And He is God
and human: God because He is
from the Father, and human because He is
from Mary. And He became a mediator
to reconcile God with the children of men,
and the children of men with God.
And He became a savior to all
those who believe in Him.
And He became the way that leads
to the Father. And He became the light
that illuminates every human.
And He became the life that gives life to all
the dead. And He became the resurrection
that raises all those who are buried.
And He became the sacrifice that atones for
the sins of the world. And He became
the priest who offers sacrifice
for us. And He became the king
who reigns over us forever.
And He became the shepherd who pastures us
in the pasture of life. And He became
the physician who heals our illnesses.

And He became the bridegroom who betrothed to Himself
the Church. And He became the brother who brothers us
by His grace. And He became the heir
who lets us inherit with Him. And He became
all in all for our sake, that we
might be all in all in Him.
And He became human that He might make us
gods by His grace. And He became poor
that we might become rich in His wealth.
And He became lowly that He might lift us
up in His exaltation. And He became weak
that we might be strengthened in His power.
And He became mortal that He might make us
immortal. And He became subject to the Law
that He might redeem us from the Law.
And He became a servant that He might make us
children of freedom. And He became the way
that leads us to the Father.
And He became the door that we might enter
into His kingdom. And He became the truth
that we might be established in His faith.
And He became the life that we might live in Him
forever and ever. And He became the will
of the Father that we might do His will.
And He became the power
of the Father that we might do His power.
And He became the wisdom of the Father
that we might be wise in His wisdom.
And He became the Word of the Father
that He might speak His Word in us.
And He became the image of God
that He might renew His image in us.
