Théotiste Lefèvre, himself the director of the Firmin-Didot and Partners Printing House at Mesnil-sur-l'Estrée, and Pamphilius Boudet ¹, the first nephew and second son-in-law of that other Théotiste Lefèvre who was the honor and glory of the French typographic art, and whose advice and precepts we strove to follow in publishing these volumes ².
Furthermore, we owe our deepest gratitude to Maurice Firmin-Didot who, mindful of the examples of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, spared nothing so that this edition of the Cursus Patrologiae Syriacae Course of Syriac Patrology might finally appear in its most beautiful form.
Finally, we would be remiss in our duties if we did not record here the name of Maurice d'Hulst, the renowned rector of the Catholic Institute of Paris, and if we did not offer our due thanks to him, as well as to all our colleagues who so often and so kindly provided the benefit of their advice.
¹ Pamphilius Boudet served as director of the Firmin-Didot printing house in Paris (56 Rue Jacob) from 1868 to 1878, then became the director of the deaf-mute workshop at Mesnil-sur-l'Estrée, dying on March 19, 1892, at the age of seventy-one.
