...was powerless. However, the needy were not prevented from eating the sweetness of that tree and living; for the tree extended its branches, and scattered its shoots, and spread its twigs beyond the fence, and graciously dropped its fruits beyond the boundary that was fortified for its protection. Then, from the people who had previously obtained many punishments because of confused and fatal knowledge, the promised curse was averted by the help of this remedy. When the enemy perceived this, shame overcame his mind, his arts were rendered useless, and he became enraged at the fruit and those who ate it. But these received in their own bodies the abrogation of the curse, and the knowledge of truth overcame the deceit of the wicked one. Those who ate the fruit were preserved like a grape in a cluster, and because of the blessing, the entire cluster was preserved until the time predetermined by the Most High was fulfilled. But, although the appointed time was extended for the rest of the cluster, they did not wish to be converted through the power of the blessing, so that they might mature, and mitigate the bitterness they had once received, and participate in the sweetness of the fruit, whose plant, cultivated by the wise farmer, had long been deprived of help.
...to do these things, it was not possible. And for that which was not to be eaten, it was not withheld from the stipa stock/stem of the tree in its sweetness, and that it might live: the tree extended its branches and spread its shoots; and it threw its fruits outside the fence: and the fruits appeared through grace outside the boundary that was built for protection. And by the hand of the fruit of the tree, from the original: "dabba" / "beast/enemy" and the filth, it was turned 5 where there were many people: in that division of error, they were turned aside and it made original: "mallubana" the distresses. And when it was known in the deed, 10 it shook its voice in its lands and he was enraged at the fruit of the tree and at those who ate it. 15 And they, in their bodies, received the abrogation of the curse: and the knowledge of truth overcame the trickery of the wicked one. And those who ate the fruit, like a grape in a cluster: and because in the blessing there is a cluster: the whole cluster was preserved until the time 20 that is known. And those who are preserved are the salvation: upon the cluster of the grape: and they did not wish to be turned by the power of the blessing to ripen and change from the bitterness they received as the first of the fruits to the sweetness of the fruit and partaking in the plant 25 of the wise farmer: which for a long time was stripped of help and of the support.
