The title page is set within an elaborate architectural engraving. At the top, a triangular pediment contains a winged cherub's head; two putti holding branches stand on either side of the pediment. Flanking the central text block are two pedestals supporting figures: on the left, an elderly bearded man holding a compass and a tablet, labeled "Vitruvius"; on the right, a younger man in robes, labeled "Archimedes". Below the main text area is a decorative cartouche featuring two reclining figures holding a scroll with publication details. Small medallions with heads are set into the bases of the side pedestals. At the very bottom, below the architectural frame, is the imprint line and a faint handwritten annotation.
