An ornate woodcut title border in the Mannerist style. At the top, a central grotesque mask is flanked by two reclining female figures holding palm fronds or garlands. The sides feature two male caryatids in classical military or heroic dress, standing on pedestals. The bottom center features a large, complex coat of arms for the House of Este, containing eagles and fleurs-de-lis, surrounded by architectural scrollwork.
