A detailed architectural and sculptural engraving depicts an elaborate tiered fountain set in a landscape. At the summit of the fountain, a winged putto sits atop a decorative pedestal, pouring water from a small vessel in his left hand and holding a staff or pipe in his right, from which water also flows. The middle tier features two mermaid-like sirens with human torsos and coiled fish tails, standing back-to-back. They support a decorative basin above their heads with their arms. Between them, a central pillar is adorned with a grotesque mask and floral swags. The large bottom basin is circular and heavily ornamented with a frieze of garlands, shells, and masks. The entire structure rests on a circular stepped stone base. Surrounding the fountain are several figures: to the left, a man in a classical tunic seen from behind carries a large, ornate amphora on his shoulder; to the right, a man stands holding a bucket, looking toward the fountain; and in the background, behind the right side of the fountain, two additional figures are partially visible. The background depicts a hilly landscape with sparse vegetation and a cloudy sky.
