A large woodcut of an armillary sphere or terrestrial globe mounted on an ornate stand. The globe shows continents labeled "EUROPA", "AFRICA", and "ASIA", with a meridian ring labeled "MOBILIS MERIDIANVS" and a horizon ring labeled "HORIZON". The stand features decorative lion heads and acanthus leaves. To the right of the globe is a cylindrical sundial or astronomical instrument. At the base of the globe stand is a small plaque with the date "M. D. XL."
