An elaborate woodcut printer's mark or emblem. In the center is an oval frame containing a landscape with trees. A cross stands in the foreground with a banner wrapped around it bearing the Latin motto "CITO CRESCIT VT OCCIDAT" original: "It grows quickly so that it may fall". The oval is flanked by two standing figures: on the left, a woman holding a sword and a balance (Justice); on the right, a man in classical armor holding a spear (Fortitude/Mars). Above the oval, two putti hold a crown over a central face mask. At the bottom, a small animal (possibly a cat or rodent) sits near an ornate vase.
