PAMPHILUS original: Pamphili. Eusebius (c. 260–339 AD) was the Bishop of Caesarea. He added the name "Pamphilus" to his own to honor his mentor, the martyr and librarian Pamphilus of Caesarea. He is widely regarded as the "Father of Church History."

ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY original: Ecclesiastica Historia. This 4th-century work is the first comprehensive narrative of the Christian Church, documenting the succession of bishops, the lives of martyrs, and the development of doctrine from the time of the Apostles to the reign of Emperor Constantine.

IN GREEK AND LATIN original: Graece et Latine. This signifies a "parallel text" edition, a hallmark of Renaissance and Early Modern scholarship, where the original Greek text was printed alongside a Latin translation for comparison by theologians and historians.
