Indeed, if those strangers who may happen upon these premature and, as it were, abortive births, shall, out of their humanity, take care to nourish and take them up, a more legitimate offspring will at length succeed, which may more happily follow the womb from which it is born; and, mindful of its parent, namely the human soul, may more clearly reflect both its image and its nature; at least (which I fear has happened to this Pathology) it may not so describe the diseases of the brain that it falls into their lot and seems to have increased their number.
