God has, through his free, eternal, and unchangeable decree, according to his good pleasure, predestined some particular men—very few in comparison to others—without any prerequisite, to faith in Christ or obedience unto eternal life; and the remaining part of mankind, by the same judgment and decree, to eternal damnation eternal condemnation, for which no redemption was ordained, regardless of the fact that they were disobedient and unbelieving. And that therefore Christ Jesus did not die for all, so that he might obtain reconciliation with God for them, but for those alone whom God, with his often-mentioned decree, chose and elected unto life.
