The circular seal of the Loeb Classical Library is depicted. The central image shows a seated female figure, presumably Athena or Minerva, wearing a helmet and holding a small winged Victory, or Nike, in her outstretched right hand. To her side rests a shield bearing the image of an owl. The words "LOEB CLASSICAL LIBRARY" are printed in a circular fashion within the border of the seal.
