The formation of numerous Shakespeare Reading Societies has created a demand for a cheap, portable edition with LEGIBLE TYPE. This edition aims to provide a reliable text with notes to help explain the meaning and assist in a better understanding of the author. Therefore, the publishers have decided to reprint Mr. Singer's well-known edition (published in 10 volumes, small 8vo), which has been out of print for some time, and to issue it in a cheap format that matches the well-known Aldine Edition of Poets.
