A circular emblem for the Egypt Exploration Fund. The outer border contains the text "THE EGYPT EXPLORATION FUND". Inside the circle is a representation of an Egyptian pylon or gateway with a cavetto cornice topped by a row of uraei (rearing cobras). Within the pylon's central portal is a seated figure flanked by two large uraei. Winged sun disks are positioned at the top and bottom of the central architectural element, and stylized lotus plants appear on either side.
