the printing of the said Books shall be done within our Kingdom and not elsewhere, and this upon good paper, in beautiful type, in accordance with the Regulations of the Book Trade; and that before exposing them for sale, two copies of each shall be placed in our public Library, one in that of our Château of the Louvre, and one in that of our very dear and loyal Knight, Chancellor of France, the Sieur Phelypeaux, Count of Pontchartrain, Commander of our Orders; all under pain of nullity of these Presents: of the contents whereof we order and enjoin you to allow the Petitioner, or his assigns, to enjoy fully and peaceably, without suffering any trouble or hindrance to be done to them. We will that the copy of these Presents which shall be printed at the beginning or at the end of the said Books shall be held as duly served, and that faith shall be given to copies collated by one of our beloved and faithful Councilors and Secretaries as to the Original. We command our first Usher or Sergeant to perform, for the execution of these presents, all acts required and necessary, without requesting other permission, and notwithstanding the Clameur de Haro, the Norman Charter, and Letters to the contrary: For such is our pleasure. Given at Versailles the first day of March, the year of grace one thousand seven hundred and seven, and of our Reign the sixty-fourth. Signed, By the King in his Council, Le Comte.
