And the other entirely a vowel, as is heard in these others, úno one, úggia annoyance, Fúgge flees, Túo yours, Súo his/hers and similar, with the passion here meaning a grammatical tendency afterward of compressing itself many times under the following vowel, in its service, as was said of the I, with its own sound even natural; but indeed much diminished: I say, having these two sounds has meant that we have used the character of this Roman antique V for the consonant V; and that of the current U, for the vowel U, as in the examples above has been demonstrated.
