...may be transferred to the use of the Commonwealth. I deliver those principles in First Philosophy, which is commonly called Ontology, and in Cosmology, the fruits of which the other parts of philosophy will bear. And therefore, just as I laid First Philosophy at the feet of YOUR MAJESTY with the most humble and reverent mind, that I might honor Your propense inclination toward science with public worship; so, with the highest subjection of my soul, I also commit Cosmology to the same, that there may exist a public testimony of my obedience in fulfilling the duties most clemently entrusted to me. With such great clemency, MOST CLEMENT KING, do You abound toward Your subjects, and with such great love do You embrace them, that we all with one voice invoke the Supreme and Best God with tireless prayers for the safety of YOUR MAJESTY.
