regarding nouns ending in -ωπος those having more than one syllable are declined via -ωτος.
ὁ χαρίεις the graceful one, τοῦ χαρίεντος; ὁ εἷς the one, τοῦ ἑνός. In those which have more than one syllable, they are declined via -ντ. Monosyllables, however, are declined via -ν, such as εἷς one, ἑνός of one, and those which are derived from it, οὐδείς none, οὐδενός of none.
ὁ βοῦς the ox, τοῦ βοός, τὸν βόα, and ὦ βοῦ.
ὁ πούς the foot, τοῦ ποδός, ὦ πούς. ὁ παῖς the child, τοῦ παιδός.
In nouns ending in -ους, those that are immutable are declined via a pure -ος, except for πούς foot, ποδός of the foot.
ἡ ἕλμινς the tapeworm, τῆς ἕλμινθος; ἡ Τίρυνς Tiryns, τῆς Τίρυνθος. Every noun ending in two consonants is declined via two consonants, except for ἅλς salt, ἁλός of salt.
ὁ θώραξ the breastplate, τοῦ θώρακος; ὁ ἅρπαξ the robber, τοῦ ἅρπαγος. Those ending in -αξ are declined via -κ, unless they are formed from a verb ending in -ζω; in that case, they are declined via -γ.
ἡ μύρμηξ the ant, τῆς μύρμηκος; ὁ βουπλήξ the ox-goad, τοῦ βουπλῆγος. Simple barytone having the grave accent on the final syllable nouns ending in -ηξ are declined via -κ, while compound and acutitone nouns are declined via -γ.
ὁ πέρδιξ the partridge, τοῦ πέρδικος; ὁ πέπηξ the magpie original: "cicada", τοῦ πέπηγος. Those ending in -ις are declined via -κ unless they come from a verb in -ζω; in that case, they are declined via -γ.
τὸ κοχλίας the snail original: "Cocleare", τοῦ κοχλίου; ὁ ὄνυξ the nail, τοῦ ὄνυχος. Those ending in -υς which are naturally long in the penultimate syllable and those which are pronounced with two consonants are declined via -κ. However, Φρύξ Phrygian is declined via -γ, Φρυγός of the Phrygian.
ἡ βόαξ the boax fish original: "Bocæ", τῆς βόακος; ὁ λαγώς the hare, τοῦ λαγώ original: "lepus leporis". Simple nouns ending in -ως are declined via -κ, except for ἡ ῥώψ the bush, τῆς ῥωπός.
ὁ Κύκλωψ the Cyclops, τοῦ Κύκλωπος; ἡ ψῶρα the scab original: "uibex uibicis", τῆς ψώρας; ὁ γύψ the vulture, τοῦ γυπὸς. In nouns ending in -ψ, they are declined via -π.
