SINCE several religious of our Society have reviewed the work entitled Diatribe on Prodigious Crosses, etc., composed by Father Athanasius Kircher, a priest of our Society, and have approved that it may be published, we grant the power for it to be committed to the press, if it shall so seem proper to those whom it concerns. In witness of which thing, we grant these letters, confirmed by our hand and fortified by our seal. Rome, the 21st of January, 1661.
