Cosmologia Sacra

A portrait of a middle-aged man with a large, elaborate periwig, typical of the late 17th century. He is shown in three-quarter view, facing slightly right, set within an oval frame decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolls. The oval rests upon a stone plinth. In the center of the plinth is a small coat of arms featuring a fess dancetty between three lions' heads. The background of the engraving consists of fine horizontal hatching.
