He has shoulder-length, dark, curly hair and is dressed in a dark garment with a large, flat, rectangular white collar. The portrait is enclosed in a rectangular frame. Below the frame is a rectangular plinth or plaque containing the name of the subject. The entire image is bordered by a textured background of dense vertical and horizontal hatching.
