Whatever labors I have dedicated to your Lordship original: "T. D.", abbreviation for "Tuae Dignitati" or "Your Dignity", I will say nothing else among the rest now, except that I have known your Illustrious Lordship to be so advanced in all philosophy and the knowledge of things, joined especially with sincere piety and kindness original: "humanitate", that you are capable of rendering a sound judgment on these and even greater matters. If only all the nobility were like this: namely, piously educated and adorned with Christian character. I say nothing here of Adam, your Lordship’s son, who will surely not be unworthy of his lineage if God grants him a life as long as his father's. May God provide this through his eternal and fatherly love, by Christ Jesus, his eternal son and our only Savior. May your Illustrious Lordship remain in the best of health. To you and your son, I offer and commend myself, ready to serve with all my strength.
