Illustration of the Flowered Loom
A detailed woodcut illustration of a traditional Chinese drawloom, or huaji flowered loom. Two operators are shown: one seated atop the hualou flower tower manipulating the pattern threads, and another seated at the base operating the shuttle. The loom is set over a pit to accommodate the weaver's legs and lower mechanical parts.
