Cap. VII. 1. ταῦτα μεγάλα these great things A. H.; with Sch. ταῦτα these I have excluded. To me αἱ the seems to be what should be written. || αἱ αὐξήσεις the growths. αἱ the I added with Sch. || πονοῦν to toil. It seems with Gaza εἰς ὁποσονοῦν to whatever extent should be written. || καθάπερ — τινος just as — of some. Cap. X. 1. λεύκης — κρότωνος of the white poplar — of the castor oil plant. It seems it should be written λεύκης καὶ τοῦ κικίου τοῦ καὶ καλουμένου κρότωνος of the white poplar and of the kiki [castor oil] plant which is also called the croton [castor oil plant]. || 2. ἧττον — κιττοῦ less — of ivy.
