A small book by Brother Claudius Cælestinus once fell into our hands, most humane and learned Prelate, whose title was "On those things which more often occur in the World, and are judged as miracles by men, and on the influences of the heavens." Shortly thereafter, we acquired another booklet, inscribed "On the wonderful power of art and nature," by the author Brother Roger Bacon, the Franciscan, which is quite consistent with the former book.
