A highly detailed architectural border composed of multiple vignettes depicts scenes from the history of medicine and pharmacy. At the top, figures like Crateuas, Oribasius, and Diocles appear in a scholarly or clinical setting; Hippocrates holds a book labeled "DIETETICA". The side panels show various medical procedures: surgery (CHIRVRGIA surgery), pharmacy (PHARMACEVTRICA pharmacy), anatomical dissections, and bedside consultations involving figures such as Galen, Aetius, and Rhazes. The bottom panel features a central heraldic shield flanked by the great physicians of antiquity: Galen, Hippocrates, Avicenna, and Aetius, with the mottoes "Floreat" May it flourish and "Florescimus" We are flourishing. To the left and right of the base are scenes of an apothecary shop and a laboratory with figures like Herophilus and Mithridates the King.
