A — Vatican codex gr. 318, paper, 14th century, 8vo (ancient title glued to the front: "Geminus' introduction to meteors and other works by him and others 209". There is also a Vatican index). Two unnumbered leaves precede it, scribbled upon in various ways (I: "the Barbier". "I, Joannes Metellus Sequanus wrote this", and other things. IIv: a catalog of some library* written by the scribe of the codex). It contains: fol. 1—48 Geminus (see Gemini Elementa astronomiae ed. Manitius p. VII), fol. 49—65 Methods useful for those multiplying by parts according to the rule of Chnomia i.e., astronomy preserving all accuracy more than other methods (attributed to Pappus in the Vatican index)**), fol. 66—72 some figures and tables (fol. 72v blank), fol. 73—95 excerpts from the Syntax of Ptolemy (see below); then
