If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

we have provided in the notes (the differing readings are mostly those of the British codex). The same learned man, in order to open a path for understanding this most difficult book, wrote a brief overview of it, which we publish below.
A — codex Marcianus gr. 313 (in Syntax F, refers to the Almagest), concerning which see Vol. I, p. IV sq., fol. 28v—29r. I collated this in Venice in 1899.
B — codex Paris. gr. 2390 (in Syntax F), concerning which see Vol. I, p. V and below, Prolegomena ch. I, fol. 13v—14v. I collated this in Paris in 1899.
C — codex Vaticanus gr. 184 (in Syntax G), concerning which see Vol. II, p. III, fol. 23v—24v. I collated this in Rome in 1899.
Bullialdus — Cl. Ptolemaei tractatus de iudicandi facultate et animi principatu Treatise on the Faculty of Judgment and the Primacy of the Soul by Cl. Ptolemy ed. Bullialdus, Paris 1663, p. 234 sqq.*)
Halma — l. c. loco citato / in the place cited p. 57 sqq. Compare furthermore Cl. Ptolemaei Harmonicorum libri tres Three Books of Harmonics by Cl. Ptolemy ed. J. Wallis, Oxford 1682, p. 274, and Carolus v. Jan, Philolog. LII p. 35.
A — codex Paris. Gr. 2390, see Vol. I p. V. I collated it in 1899.
𝔅 — codex Laurentian. XXVIII 7, paper, 14th century, see Bandini II p. 16 sqq. It contains the Diataxis Arrangement on f. 33—40v. I collated it in 1899.
I have provided all the readings of these codices; the others generally agree with the received text where nothing is noted, except that I have taken no account of minor errors. Regarding the other codices, of which I used three more frequently, and two (namely EF) very rarely, only those readings explicitly cited carry weight.
ℭ — codex Ambros. Gr. H 57 sup., now 437, see above p. VIII. It contains the Diataxis on f. 45—54v. I collated it in 1900. It adheres to 𝔅.
*) Bullialdus corrected the numbers in the note on p. 155.
