An elaborate architectural frontispiece for a mathematical work. At the top, a broken pediment features a central oval medallion showing a crown above a landscape with a palm tree, inscribed with the words "INTVS" within and "EXTRA" outside. Below this, a frieze contains text dedicated to a prince. The central title is set within a rectangular frame decorated with a garland of fruit at the top and a large grotesque mask at the bottom. The frame is flanked by two fluted columns and two standing female figures: the figure on the left holds a set of scales (Justice/Measure), and the figure on the right holds a plumb line (Geometry/Precision). The base of the monument contains the publication information and two inset square panels with geometric diagrams—a circle with intersecting lines on the left and a cube on the right. At the very bottom center is the signature of the engraver.
