Hadrianus Iunius was the first to provide exceptional work on Nonius.

The editor is Iosias Mercerius, as is clear from the preface of the 1614 edition. He follows Hadrianus Iunius, but brought forth certain new things.

A repeated and excellent new review, by the help of Iosias Mercerius, who, beyond several manuscript codices, also compared that Parisian one at the church of St. Victor. The editor, however, suppressed his own name.
