And regarding these births, Paulus Paul the Apostle speaks, saying: My little children, of whom I am in labor again, until Christ is formed in you. Therefore, I believe these are the women according to the mystical understanding, of whom the same Apostle writes: The woman was deceived and became a transgressor; but she will be saved through the bearing of children, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with modesty. If they ever give birth from the divine word, it is necessary that what is generated should grow and first receive the milk of infancy, until they arrive at solid food and the mature age of the fullness of Christ. For everyone who is nourished by milk is unskilled in the word of justice; for he is an infant. Therefore, these souls who have not yet given birth, or who have not yet been able to nourish those things which have been generated, when they see heretical speech standing in the church, are quickly scandalized and perish, and cannot remain in the tempest and in persecutions, especially if they have had the leisure of good works and have not walked in the way, which is Christ. Regarding this abomination of heretical and perverse doctrine, the Apostle said that the man of iniquity and the adversary lifts himself against everything that is called God and religion, so that he dares to stand in the temple of God and show himself as though he were God; his coming, according to the operation of satana the adversary, causes those things which have been conceived to perish by abortion, and those which are born, to be unable to arrive at childhood and to a perfect age. For this reason, the Lord must be prayed to, so that in the beginning of faith and of growing age, a winter may not arise, of which it is written: The winter has passed, it has gone away, lest we become sluggish in idleness, but in the impending shipwreck, let us awaken the sleeping Lord and say: Teacher, save us, we are perishing.
