A rectangular engraved vignette featuring a central oval portrait of a classical figure (likely Ammianus Marcellinus). The portrait is flanked by allegorical figures, including putti and possibly personifications of History or Fame. Various classical motifs, such as armor, books, and laurel branches, are visible in the composition.
