A raven's egg likely meaning a dark-colored or specific type of egg used in folk medicine is mixed in a bronze vessel, then, after the head is shaved, it is applied in the shade. The person being treated must hold oil in their mouth until the egg dries, so that their teeth do not darken. On the fourth day, it is washed off.

A sextarius a Roman liquid measure of about half a liter of leeches is macerated for 40 days in two sextarii of vinegar and pounded with oil; it is applied to the shaved head in the shade. While it dries, just as we said above, oil must be held in the mouth. Vetch pods, before they dry out, 50 in number, are crushed with their leaves and stalks and applied to the shaved head. Cypress leaves pounded in vinegar cause black hair to grow back. Rubbed with spondylium cow parsnip, hair becomes curly.

It is worth the effort to assist those old men who are embarrassed by their appearance, and if they wish to dye their gray hair, as if they were going to subtract years from their age on this account, they should add the ash of earthworms to the oil with which they anoint their heads.

The care of the ears seems next to me, as they bring the sharpest pain as soon as they suffer even the slightest injury.
