In submitting this volume to the attention of those interested in Hebraic studies connected with physics, philosophy, and religion, I have much pleasure in acknowledging my indebtedness to Dr. A. S. Yahuda, Professor at the University of Madrid, for his kind help and suggestions in my endeavor to establish the Hebrew text. I desire, further, to record my thanks to my sister, Miss Emma Gollancz, formerly of Newnham College, Cambridge, for her unfailing devotion in the task of revising the proofs of the English portions of my works.
