To the most holy father, Lord Clement, by the providence of God, Supreme Pontiff, Roger, a brother of the Order of Friars Minor, offers the kissing of his blessed feet. The text is highly fragmentary and contains numerous manuscript abbreviations; the following is a literal rendering of the readable portions: Regarding the magnitude of wisdom, while it is renewed for its own end therefore? all? modes? is? general? in which he is? regarding? measures? and the dignities? of office, which totally? indeed? and of the order? should be? formed? the former? is able? but? hinders? and the better? truth writes down? and over? more?
