Belonging to Georg Christoph Schaller
An elaborate woodcut title border. At the top is a semicircular arch depicting the Holy Trinity: God the Father holds the crucified Jesus, with the Holy Spirit as a dove above. Two angels kneel at the sides. A banner within the arch reads: "Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on us." Below this are three woodcut panels: the left shows Hippocrates at a desk, the center shows Galen lecturing from a pulpit, and the right shows Avicenna writing in a study. The side borders feature ornate classical pillars with caryatid-like figures and floral scrolls. The bottom border depicts a scene with infants and birds.
