Insofar as art is to be constructed, and it forms a spiritual whole, every individual part must appear as necessary in relation to the whole of art — Only the one initiated into the essence of art will also see only the divine therein, to every other it will appear only as a product of nature. — Construction of art is an integral part of philosophy; this is the ideal side, that the real side of knowledge, in art philosophy beholds its true essence as in a magic mirror. Just as natural philosophy only distinguishes the accidental in order to possess the necessary, imperishable — i.e., just as it is its highest endeavor to execute the archetypes of the perishable things in nature
