The long-proven dictionary appears this time in a significantly altered form (911 instead of 816 pages in the 7th edition): the vocabulary of the Greek lyric poets, as far as it appears in the common anthologies, has been included, certainly with full justification, as has the word formation in the reader. The etymological entries have been newly revised, but with the omission of everything that is not immediately understandable and useful to the student, especially with constant consideration of Latin and Greek. With outstanding practical prudence, the editor has ensured, through clear grouping of word meanings using the results of syntax (among other things by correct application of spacing and bold type), that the most manifold syntactic changes and additions are provided in the clearest arrangement.
