CAPVT PRIMVM CHAPTER ONE
A MONACENSIS The Munich manuscript Greek manuscript 382 of the Royal Library, of the largest format, paper, 16th century. Cf. Ign. Hardt, Catalogus codic. Graec. biblioth. reg. Monac. Catalog of Greek Manuscripts of the Royal Library of Munich IV p. 186.
Chr. Schneider of Wrocław, who edited the commentaries in 1847, made primary use of this codex.
OXONIENSIS CORPORIS CHRISTI 98 Oxford, Corpus Christi College 98 (cf. Catalogus codicum mss. collegii Corporis Christi Catalog of manuscripts of Corpus Christi College p. 34), paper, 16th century, 477 leaves.
On the front of the book is read: This book was purchased from the heirs of William Grocyn in the year of the Lord 1521, for Corpus Christi College, with Claimond as president. This is the British codex, to which the first editor of these commentaries,
b Simon Grynaeus, resorted in Basel in the year 1534 together with the works of Plato. Using the Basel edition, Thomas Taylor translated the commentaries into the English language (London, 1820). The distinguished Ingram Bywater kindly sent a specimen.
L LAVRENTIANVS The Laurentian manuscript Greek plut. 28 cod. 20 (cf. Bandini II p. 39 VII), square, paper, 14th century, presents on leaf 266r, under the title From the explanation of Proclus on the Timaeus, excerpts which begin on p. 192 DE: "and one must know that arithmetic proportion is that on which," and end on p. 193 C: "and they invert each other" (leaf 267r).
I will set forth the details in the preface of the second volume. I collated this in Florence in 1899.

A translation of Plato from the Timaeus concerning the generation of souls, with the explanation and digression of Proclus Lycius.
