moving, living, full of divinity, and functioning for all things within itself, and being filled completely with all goods from the Father; specifically, receiving motion from nature rather than being motion, and from soul receiving motion and life, and from intellect receiving intelligence and life and the reception of the en-cosmic gods, and by these en-cosmic gods themselves finally being perfected as the truest statue of the intelligible gods. Again, from this it is clear how he establishes the Creator at the peaks of the telestai ritual perfecters/initiators, declaring him the maker of the world's statue, just as he was previously the maker of divine names and the revealer of divine characters, through which he perfected the soul. For these are the things that the true telestai do, perfecting the statues through vital characters and names, making them living and moving. Reasonably, then, the Father of all things admires his own creation, rejoicing in it because he makes it more like the paradigm. He admires and marvels, not at the thing that has come forth and been made such through him, but at his own power that, from that which was moved in a disorderly and wayward manner, has wrought the whole as well-ordered, ensouled, intelligent, and filled with god; and just as he knows the world by knowing himself, so by admiring his own creative power, he makes the work admirable and a true statue of the eternal gods. For in a way, the word "statue" agalma is said based on the god "rejoicing" agallesthai in it. He rejoices, not by feeling joy for a thing lying outside himself (for how would intellect look outside itself?), but because his goodness-like will is being fulfilled, and because the goodness-working power itself is proceeding into an abundant sharing and supply of the more perfect goods; which he himself sufficiently indicated by saying: "And rejoicing, he intended to make it even more similar to the paradigm" original: "εὐφρανθεὶς ἔτι δὴ μᾶλλον ὅμοιον πρὸς τὸ παράδειγμα ἐπενόησεν ἀπεργάσασθαι". For he rejoices primarily according to the intellect within himself...
