Proclus Lycius, a student of Syrianus and a Platonic philosopher, presided over the school at Athens. His student and successor was Marinus of Naples. He wrote many things in philosophy and grammar:

On Hesiod’s Works and Days a didactic poem about farming and morality.
On Plato’s Republic.
