Finally, I have compiled three Indices: the first, of the poetic Greek of Aratus's Phaenomena and Diosemea; the second, of the poetic Latin of the fragments of Cicero and Germanicus, as well as the Metaphrasis of Avienus; the third, of names and notable things in general. I have repeated the maps of the hemispheres, northern and southern, engraved on copper, from the edition of Eratosthenes's Catasterismi by the distinguished V. Schaubach.
It remains only to remember with a grateful mind the distinguished Meissner, Professor at Leipzig, who, by his learned industry, as in the previous Volume, has also greatly merited in this second one by purging the text of typographical errors. Written at Göttingen in the month of October, 1801.
