4. Therefore, all animals also have more of the heavenly essence than plants and minerals. For this reason, their powers and abilities are far more wonderful, and all of this is because of the light and heavenly spirit dwelling within them.

5. For the heaven is much stronger and more full of growth in animals. On the other hand, the oily moisture of the elements is rarer, subtler, and not of such a tough and viscous nature in them as it is in plants and minerals.

6. Plants generally have much oily, airy, and watery primordial root-moisture, which is impregnated with the subtle heavenly light. From this, they attain this visible growth and known power through which they live, remain, or endure for a long time, and from which all their powers stem, and through which they are also distinguished.

7. Since there are as many types of light in heaven as there are different species found among animals, plants, and minerals.
