for two or three [hours], and grind them with whatever tool, and place them over vehement coals and let them stand for half a day. Afterward, take urine from a healthy boy, and pour it into a mortar halfway, and pour all the pyrites into it so that they may soften. By taking the pestle, grind them in the mortar in the urine. When you have ground them well, wash them and pour out that urine. Afterward, take a porphyry stone and a flat grinding stone, and grind these pyrites slowly on it. Whatever you grind, continue grinding with urine until you see that it is dissolved like milk. Pour this into a tripod and grind more. Thus, grind until you have finished this whole thing; the better you grind, the greater profit you will receive. Therefore, do not be weary in grinding, for when you take 40 parts, barely 4 parts will come to you that are worth anything. After this grinding, pour urine into this full tripod, and cook it well while stirring with a wooden stick. By cooking for some time, pour off the impurities; the filth will go down with the urine. Do not worry about this; pour in more urine and cook, and afterward pour it out again. Do this by cooking and pouring until you see that nothing of this matter goes down with the urine. Pour out the pure urine, and if little pyrite remains, stop. Pour warm water over them and wash them cleanly with water. Afterward, pour the water down, place it with the tripod over slow coals, and dry it very cleanly so that no humidity remains in it. Save it, and thus you will have our Physical Sulfur of the Sages, which is the sera of all spirits. ❧
