98. For it would either be common and bestowed upon all created things, or specifically sent into a certain thing.

99. That would act upon the healable thing rather than upon the medicine, due to a greater disposition.

100. This, in this place, would be the curative thing.

101. But outside the healable thing it will not be found, since it would not be simply curative, but curative of such a part.

102. Nor is rashness to be ascribed to God, as if He wandered fortuitously.

103. Moreover, if it is from God or a demon, the medicine will not act naturally.

104. For they would be extrinsic principles to the natural thing simply.

105. The influence of the heavens, as also the elemental, naturally clings to the related thing.

106. The weapon, however, has nothing or little that is related to the heavens and the animal.

107. For the affinity would have to consist in the healing ratio to be transferred from one to the other.

108. And the kinship of animal heat with heavenly heat is more powerful.

109. Whatever is more akin is led more.
